IMPORTANT ELEMENTS IN A SPEECH

HOW I FEEL YOU CAN IMPROVE YOUR SPEECH WITH THE IMPORTANT ELEMENTS?

In a speech there are several important elements and skills that one should have to apply in conversation. Such as the slang, amptitude, articulation, consonants, vowels, stresses, juncture and gradiation in a speech. These elements are very important to make you a successful speaker.

The slang is one of the way how a person talks in a regions way which shows where you come from. When you speak, you should use the proper slang to talk English. Which is the British way of talking English and not the Malay, Chinese and Indian slang way cause this might spoil the flow of the speech.

The amptitude is also very important cause it controls the amount of air which escapes through the vocal chord producing loudness and softness of voice when one speaks. It controls the pitching when you deliver a speech on where you need to raise your voice.Besides that, the articulation is the place in the vocal tract where the air stream is obstructed. There are two parts in articulation which is our nasal tract and oral tract. Articulation is also the position of the speech organs when you speak.

Consonants are produced by obstruction of the flow through the vocal tract which the place can be identified. Where it can be used to form speech sounds. Consonants are voiceless and it has the place and manner articulation. Vowels are oral sounds and it’s voiced. Vowels are determined largely by tongue position and are characterized by a free flow of air through the oral cavity.

Stress is also important in your speech. Stress happens when air I pushed out from your lungs in one syllable relative to one another. It helps us in the speech by giving us a special emphasis on to a word to show whether it is a noun or verb. There are 3 degree stress primary, secondary and weak. Stressed syllable tend to have a higher pitch and longer duration to show what is important in a spech.
Gradiation is how in a change of vowels quality and refers to the existence in English of two or more pronunciation. When stress is reduced to weak stress. It is used in daily speech and it is generally shorter and less loud. It is important in speech when you stress it in a strong and weak way and how the message is delivered.

Lastly is the juncture, which shows you where to pause in a sentence. Juncture is a super segmental feature which indicates the contrast in the transition between two con sequent syllabes
